This little boy was a dream to photograph. He was sound asleep when I arrived and stayed asleep almost the entire time. This doesn't always happen!

This is my absolute favorite image from the session. I love how content he looks all snuggled into his mommy.

I did the cover image and author image on the back of this book! I was like a little kid waiting for Christmas moring as I waited for it to come out. It is in stores now and it's just hilarious!! Lisa had me laughing out loud with tears in my eyes! (My kids think I've gone mad!) Pick one of these babies up and don't forget to look for my photo credit ;) It will make a wonderful holiday gift for all the women in your life.

Try shopping for your outfits online rather than heading out to the mall. I find it so much easier to pull outfits together this way. When shopping to dress a family you have to go back and forth between stores and departments and really, who has time for that!

I think these outfits would work great for a studio portriat or maybe a park or lake setting.

The most common question I get asked is "What should we wear?" To help you with this question, I will be posting outfit suggestions every Friday. It can be difficult to come up with clothing ideas for your entire family. Remember, you don't all have to match. Pick a color scheme and build off of it.

Here I pulled together outfits that are navy blue and tan. I would like to see a solid cream color shirt under the Dad's vest instead of the purple patterned shirt. You could layer cream tights and a long sleeve tee under the girl's dress too. These outfits are from Boden and Mini Boden.

HEADSHOT 411

The fee for a headshot session and three fully edited images on disk is $250.00
You will be permitted unlimited wardrobe changes and two back drops during our hour and a half session. To add a trip to the brick wall an additional $50.00 is required.

40 – 50 proof images will be presented to you in an online gallery. Your final selections will be edited and burned to disk for you to do you own printing.

A make-up artist and hair stylist can be provided for those 16 and older. Her fee is $100.00

Clothing:

Clothing for your headshot session should be well pressed and clean. Your clothes should fit well and lay flat. Avoid shirts with patterns, buttons or any decorative pieces. A plain solid color shirt is best. Dark or mid-toned colors are a good choice and will draw the eye to the face.

Hair should be worn like you would wear it to an audition. Bows and ribbons are not acceptable; however a clear clip, bobby pin or rubber band can be used to hold hair in place.

Please remove all jewelry prior to the shoot. Jewelry will only distract from your face. We want the directors to notice your face not your jewelry.

Please arrive to your session a few minutes early so we can go through your clothing choices and select backdrops. Feel free to bring your ipod with you. Having your own music playing in the studio will help you relax.

It was great to see you girls again! This outfit choice was just perfect and the pink bow gave us just a splash of fun color. LOVE it!

We had to reschedule this session so many times this month because of rain. And I was a little afraid it was going to rain on us again today too! But, thankfully it held out and we had a beautiful evening and got some adorable images! Little A was so happy to be running free on the beach (and boy, can she run fast!). I know how she feels though, it really was good to be back at the beach again. Beach sessions are always so much fun.

Such a beautiful little baby, only 7 days old. Her big brother is so smitten with her that we couldn't get him to take his eyes off of her when he was holding her. There was nothing we could do...dance, sing, clap...he was in his own world holding his little sister.

Falling Behind

I have fallen behind this week! If you have been waiting to hear back from me or waiting on your cards or custom collages, I am sorry and will get to you shortly.

We were in a car accident last Friday night as we were heading into NY. We were hit by a city bus. Luckily, we are all safe and sound. I have been hugging my boys extra tight this week! (I think I am really bugging them now, lol) I'm really blessed.

But, my car is totaled and as you can imagine we are swamped with the hassle of dealing with the insurance companies, rental cars and such.

Thank you for being patient with me, I'll be all caught up in a day or two!

What To Wear

Everyone always asks, "What should we wear to our session?", so I thought I'd post some tips and give you a few examples. You want to avoid busy prints and logos that will distract from your child's face. Look for subtle patterns and nice textures. Hats and scarves in bright colors are great to bring along. They make fun images(those are always my favorites)!

These outfits were put together using clothing from Old Navy. Check out Modern Baby in Brick (732-451-1236) for some adorable outfits too. It's one of my favorite clothing stores! Faith can help you pull something together for your session.
